carburetorto aid incold-weatherstarting.Referto engine

Ignition Key

Ignitionkeymust be present,insertedinkeyswitch,and

inthe "ON"positionfor engineto start.

Recoil Starter

The starterhandleis usedto manuallystartthe engine.

Electric Starter Button (If so equipped)

Pressingthe electric starterbuttonengagesthe

engine'selectric starterwhen pluggedintoa 120V

power souroe

Electric Starter Plug (If so equipped)

Requiresuseof a two-prongoutdoorextensioncord

(packedwiththe snowthrower)anda 120Vpower

source/walloutlet.

Spark Plug Cover

Removesparkplugcoverto accesssparkplug.

Auger

Whenengaged,the augersrotationdrawssnowinto the

augerhousingandthrowsitout the dischargechute.

Rubberpaddleson the augersalso aidin propellingthe

unitas theycomeincontactwiththe pavement.

Auger Control Handle

Locatedontheupperhandle,theaugercontrolhandle

is usedto engageanddisengagedriveto theauger.

Squeezethecontrolhandleagainstthe upperhandleto

engageauger;releaseit todisengage.

Discharge Chute / Chute Handle

Rotatethe dischargechuteto theleftor rightusingchute

handle.Pitchof the dischargechutecontrolsangleat

whichthesnowis thrown.Loosenwingknobonside

of thedischargechutebeforepivotingdischargechute

upwardordownward.Retightenthe knoboncedesired

positionhasbeenachieved.

Shave Plate

Theshaveplatemaintainscontactwithpavementas

thesnowthroweris propelled,allowingsnowcloseto

pavement'ssurfaceto bedischarged.
